Santosh Kumar Nupa completes a secure home in Podia

Santosh Kumar Nupa and his family lived in a weak and unsafe house in Podia. Rainwater entered through the roof, and storms made the family’s living conditions insecure.

After he was selected under the Government of Odisha’s Antyodaya Gruha Jojana, Santosh began building a permanent home intended to provide safer shelter and greater dignity for his family.

Despite the challenges he faced, Santosh completed the house within five months. The submitted achievement record also notes that he received a ₹10,000 incentive.

The new home has replaced the family’s fear during rain and storms with a stronger sense of safety, stability and hope.
