Sanitation assets support Malkangiri’s clean-village mission

Malkangiri district’s sanitation vision is for every village to become clean, healthy, environmentally sustainable and resilient through universal sanitation coverage, effective waste management, community ownership and behavioural transformation.

The district mission strengthens sanitation systems through community participation, technology, coordination with line departments, capacity building and sustainable waste management, with an emphasis on ensuring that no one is left behind.

The submitted field photographs document solid-waste collection and segregation infrastructure alongside a community toilet complex with separate access for men, women and persons with disabilities. Together, these assets show how the district’s sanitation mission is being translated into local facilities.
